Will There Be Shows at Coney Island Amphitheater This Summer? Here’s What We Know

Brooklyn NY - USA - May 22 2019: Ford Amphitheater building in Coney Island Brooklyn New York

If you’ve been looking forward to a concert or two at the Coney Island Amphitheater this summer, there’s a change worth knowing about before you make plans. Unfortunately, there are no shows scheduled at the Coney Island Amphitheater this year, as the venue navigates some transitions in ownership.

We know that’s disappointing news, especially if a summer show was already on your calendar. The good news is that Coney Island still has plenty to offer this season, and High Tidez Dispensary is here to help you make the most of your time in the neighborhood. Concert or no concert.

Things To Do Around Coney Island

The Amphitheater opened in 2016 and is currently closed in 2026. However, Coney Island has been open for over 100 years, so spending the day at Coney Island is still very much worth the trip.

The Coney Island Beach & Boardwalk is the quintessential urban beach with three miles of shoreline right in the heart of Brooklyn. You can just sunbathe on the pristine sand, swim in the ocean, or play a game of beach volleyball. They also have handball and basketball courts and an iconic boardwalk for leisurely walks. The beach is open from Memorial Day weekend through September 13, 2026.

Luna Park is what many people think of when they mention Coney Island. It’s still the largest amusement park in New York City with over 50 attractions. Besides the thrilling rides, it also offers restaurants, shopping, and proximity to Coney Island Beach.
